International Student Services
We help international students who aspire to attend university in the United States. Working with professionals who specialize in assisting students for whom English is a second language. Utilizing a hybrid format of synchronous classes, individual work, personal feedback, as well as live one-on-one meetings, we work with students both in the US and abroad to help them secure admission to American schools. Courses can include any of the following services: test prep, essay workshops, Common App completion, financial literacy, college search with match and fit, or any combination of these elements.
ACT / SAT Test Prep for International Students
This course provides students with strategies applicable to both the ACT and SAT. The course includes videos covering lessons and strategies for all sections of both exams. Students will take timed, synchronous practice tests that simulate the experience of taking each section of the ACT and SAT. Students will receive individual feedback that will enable them to focus their studies and improve scores.
The Common Application for International Students
This interactive course will guide students through all elements of the Common Application. Through video tutorials, weekly assignments, and hands-on guidance from experienced instructors, students can tackle the application in an organized, thorough manner. At the end of the course, students will have completed the following Common App Sections: Profile, Family, Education, Testing, Activities, Testing and Grades, Colleges, Supplemental Answers.
Writing the College Essay for International Students
In this course, students will be guided through the completion of their college application essay. Students can ensure that their essays are well organized, persuasive, and thoroughly edited to be free of grammatical and stylistic errors. The course includes tutorials on each of the seven essay topics on the Common Application as well as the new Covid-19 essay prompt. Students will complete brainstorming activities and submit drafts of essays for personalized feedback. At the end of this course, students will have one ready-to-submit college application essay.
